Catherine of Aragon and Two New Tudor Performances

Sorry it has been a bit quiet here lately. I have been working on something new and exciting…but more on that later :D

First off, here is a nice review for Catherine of Aragon: The Spanish Queen of Henry VIII by Giles Tremlett. According to the reviewer, “Catherine’s story is beautifully told by Giles Tremlett. His emphasis on her life in Spain as a child & his researches in Spanish sources give a fascinating picture of Catherine & her background…” Here’s the link to the full review.

If you are interested in this author, you may want to attend a talk by him at Westminster Cathedral Hall on April 7th at 7pm. Here’s a link for more info.

Also, if you enjoy the theatre, be sure to check Anna Bolena at the MET starting Sept. 26th, and All the King’s Fools at Hampton Court Palace starting Feb. 24th and ending the 27th. Here’s a link to an article discussing this interesting new performance.
