Joely Richardson Discusses Young Elizabeth in "Anonymous"

Joely Richardson plays a young Elizabeth in the new film Anonymous, which explores the theory that Shakespeare wasn't the author of his famous plays.

In this interview, Richardson discusses the many aspects of playing Elizabeth, as well as compares it to playing Catherine Parr in "The Tudors."

I really want to see this film! I have watched a few clips and am certainly intrigued. If anyone has seen it, please share your thoughts.

  2. It is in fact a very interesting movie, but I think the most interesting thing is that in the end of the movie you keep thinking of the ideas the movie put in you head.Like the fact that shakespeare were a unliterate fool for exemple.

But doesn't matter who wrote the plays, the importance is that the plays were writen and are till now master pieces of literature.

    1. Just from the preview I can tell it will be a thought provoking film. I agree, though. I'm certainly glad we have the plays, even if "Shakespeare" wasn't who or what we thought. I suppose we will never know, but I kind of like it like that.

  3. This movie itself is a piece of art... It instantly turned into one of my favourites. It's emocinal, beautiful (in terms of photographic view) and it defends it's own argument: What if Shakespeare wasn't the true author? Amazing...
And Joely was lovely as Queen Elizabeth =)
