'Elizabeth's Bedfellows: An Intimate History of the Queen's Court" by Anna Whitelock

Author Sandra Byrd posted a link to a review on this new release on Facebook, which I thought interesting enough to share here. This new book takes an in depth look into Elizabeth's ladies-in-waiting, attempting to show how they, being privy to all that went on in the privy chamber, were far more important at the Tudor court than just helping the Queen get dressed.

Though the reviewer concluded that the book wasn't in depth enough for their taste, I am still very curious to read it. According to the review, "Anna Whitelock argues that the royal bedchamber helps us to see Elizabeth and her reign anew." After reading this review, I'm interested to see for myself if she really does.

Have any of you read this book? If so, what did you think?

The Tudor Book Blog is Now on Pinterest!

Well, I have finally create a Pinterest for The Tudor Book Blog! You can view it here. I have personally been on Pinterest for a while (I love the home decorating and food boards!), but hadn't ever gotten around to creating one for the Book Blog. It is now done, and I hope you all enjoy it!

I have a few boards already made, but will certainly be adding more, along with many, many pins!

Happy pinning, dear readers :)
